A former placer Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 18 and in the NE¼ sec. 19, T16N, R10E, MDM, 1.7 km (1.0 mile) SE of Quaker Hill (coordinates of record), E of Greenhorn Creek and W of Buckeye Ridge, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is comprised of auriferous Neocene gravels - a small mass of bench gravel. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 6 (Northwestern Sierra Nevada) and/or Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).
