A former Fe occurrence/mine located in the NE¼ sec. 1, T7N, R3W, SBM, 3.8 km (2.4 miles) NNW of Stoddard Mountain (coordinates of record) and about 3 miles NW of Stoddard Well, E of Interstate highway 15. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit with a series of veins hosted in Sidewinder Volcanics. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 3 (Mojave Desert, Death Valley area, and Eastern Sierra Nevada).

Workings include unspecified underground openings (the topo map reflects 1 shaft symbol and 1 prospect pit symbol labeled "Altuda Mine" just W of this point).
