A former Au-Ag occurrence/mine located in the NE¼SW¼SW¼ sec. 9, T4N, R17E, SBM, 1.9 km (1.2 miles) SSE of Sheep Camp Spring (coordinates of record) and 8.9 km (5.6 miles) SSW of Old Woman Statue (locale), along the N side of Browns Wash (12 miles NNW of Milligan). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters. This property shows little promise.
Mineralization is hosted in gneiss. The deposit consists of Fe-stained vein along a shear zone. Local rocks include Precambrian igneous and metamorphic rock complex.
Workings include surface openings comprised of a pit.
Analytical data results: Assayed 0.06 ounce Au and 1.2 ounces Ag per ton.
