A former Au prospect/mine located in the N½SW¼NE¼ sec. 12, T3N, R13E, SBM, 14.0 km (8.7 miles) NNW of the Calumet Mountains (coordinates of record) and 18.2 km (11.3 miles) SSW of Cadiz, in the northern part of the Calumet range (4.4 miles SE of the SE shore of Bristol Lake), pretty much in the middle of nowhere, on federal wilderness land (Sheephole Valley Wilderness). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in granite. The deposit is comprised of an iron-stained quartz vein. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include surface openings comprised of a pit.
