A former placer Au mine (dredge) located in secs. 25, 35 & 36, T3S, R12E, MDM, 10.6 km (6.6 miles) S of Warnerville and 12.8 km (7.9 miles) WSW downstream from La Grange, along the S bank of the Tuolumne River (at river mile 40). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. This locality is evidenced on the topo map as a large area of dredge tailings.
Local rocks include Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.
