A former Cr mine located in sec. 34 (assumed spot at center of sec. 34), T29N, R10W, MDM (? - see note), 4.4 km (2.7 miles) ESE of Dead Horse Ridge, along an unnamed tributary of the North Fork Beegum Creek, on National Forest land. Operated by J. Latin and J. Corny (1953). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is stated to be 1,000 meters (may be much more significant - see note).

NOTE!!: The relevent MRDS database file states: "TOWNSHIP MAY BE INCORRECT AS IT LOCATES THE PROSPECT IN SHASTA COUNTY." Verification of the coordinates for the center of sec. 34, T29N, R10W, MDM, revealed that the coordinates provided for this locality correspond to the stated T&R value. The MRDS file also contains conflicting data in the "Geographic context" and "geographic areas" data fields. These data are also discrepant between Shasta County and Tehama County. Based on the foregoing this locality is listed as being in Shasta County.

Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 9 (Western Klamath Mountains).

Mineralization is hosted in serpentinite.

Production data are found in: CDMG BULL 134, PT. 1, CHAPT. 3, P. 159, 162
