A former Mn mine located 4.4 km (2.7 miles) NW of Zenia, in the headwaters area of Bluford Creek on National Forest land (located claim). Discovered 1941. Owned by A. C. Crossman and T. K. Tyree, California (1974). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
The ore body dips vertically at a width of 1.52 meters. The 3 to 5 feet wide ore body dips vertically and lies in a belt of thin-bedded red chert that extends to the NW for more than 700 feet. The ore body can be traced for more than 40 feet and consists of highly siliceous oxide, which appears to lessen in grade with increasing depth. Local rocks include Franciscan Complex, unit 1 (Coast Ranges).
