A former lode Au mine located in sec. 34, T3N, R16E, MDM, 0.9 km (3,000 feet) NW of Mi-Wuk Village (about 1½ mile NE of Confidence), on private land in a National Forest area. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in granodiorite. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
