General Appearance of Type Material:
Clear, yellow, mm-sized euhedral crystals. Stout, more-or-less platy prisms.
Place of Conservation of Type Material:
Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines, Paris, France, 41081.
Geological Setting of Type Material:
In open fractures in siderite-rich Lower Cretaceous sandstones. From low-salinity fluids, under very low-grade metamorphic conditions, at minimum temperatures of 180-200 C.
