This specimen was obtained from the January 2024 PMC (Pacific Micromount Conference) sponsored yearly by the MSSC (The Mineralogical Society of Southern California). The original material for the species came from John Jenkins who collected it. This material was given to Bob Reynolds who gave it to Bob Housley for analysis. This particular piece was in Bob Reynold's personal collection. The blue-green bluebellite crystals are in a lamellar habit among murdochite cubes. In association, but not seen in photo are a couple tiny dioptase crystals. Photo by Michael Cox with a Keyence VHX-970 digital microscope with a VH-Z100T objective. Chuck Adan specimen.

This view is to show the associations of bluebellite. The bluebellite can be seen on the murdockite on the left and bottom left of center and this view was taken at about 18x. The murdochite is on hemimorphite which also hosts fluorite (top center) and dioptase on the top right. Check your murdochite from Bluebell Mine! Specimen and photo, Chuck Adan.
