“Blue Chalcedony epimorph. Label says pseudo is after Calcite. Observing the specimen, it appears that there is a layer of Calcite preceeding the Chalcedony but the original mineral is Siderite (visible from the bottom of the specimen). The dark patch on the right is where the Chalcedony grew directly over the Siderite (no Calcite underneath). A few scattered Calcites are also on the surface of the Chalcedony. Lesnicks label dating to 1945-1981. 17 cm across.”
