Close-up view of a 12.5 cm tall sceptered crystal of quartz variety amethyst with phantom (scepter is 4.2 x 2.8 cm). Collected by Bryon Brookmyer in 1991. The spot where this crystal was collected is now covered in concrete. Carnegie Museum of Natural History specimen CM32139 (Brookmyer collection #3541). On display in Hillman Hall of Minerals and Gems in the Pennsylvania Minerals and Gems alcove.
