In granite pegmatite, granitic gniess, and corundum pegmatite. Is sometimes still considered Burgess Mine. I think may have even been worked by the same company. The collecting guide "Rock Collecting near Bancroft, Ontario Canada" by David Millis considers the Logan Cut to be a separate locality. I cannot remember if it is in the Chamber of Commerce guidebook to see how they have it listed. The Deposit is a considerable distance from the Burgess workings; a half-mile estimate. It is also mostly in what a map from 1954 calls Corundum Pegmatite. Most of the main workings at Burgess are in a syenite.
