Buiza de Gordón is a small town in León, Spain, situated in La Pola de Gordón region, León, in the middle of the mountains (south of cantabrician mountains).
During recent construction work for a tunnel (high velocity train, AVE in Spanish) to Asturias, workers of ADIF enterprise found good specimens of Baryte in the tunnel, Baryte crystals up to 3 cm. Other minerals more frequently found in this tunnel are Dolomites with Chalcopyrites, sometimes iridescent.
The dumps of these construction works are located in León, near at the town Buiza de Gordón.
