A small road gravel pit in Tertiary basalt, now rehabilitated, in the upper reaches of the Arthur River, approximately 30 kilometres south-west of Wynyard. The basalt has vesicular zones with zeolites and hydrous calcium silicates, and large peridotite nodules with olivine, spinel, enstatite and diopside, plus smokey quartz xenocrysts.
