Records show Glasgow Caradon Consols raised 37,500 tons of 7% copper ore between 1864-84.

Viewed from the slope of Caradon Hill in the foreground is a large tip of brown and yellow stained rock suggesting it is principally pyrite containing as seen at east Caradon Mine. Beyond the roof of the equestrian centre is a further tip that appears to be more of processed material. April, 2022.
