Elevation: 774 m above sea level. Dolomitic limestones of the Yacoraite Formation.

Quarry "Cabeza de Toba", Sierra de Puesto Viejo, Jujuy. This Quarry mines "Marble Onyx", a fibrous, grey to white aragonite interlayered with dark "onyx" marble.
Main mineralization: aragonite, calcite.
"Onyx" and travertine used as substitutes for marble.
