An old lead mine on the eastern end of Pindale Side Vein (Lawyer Vein), which is one of the two northeastern branches of Dirtlow Rake. It was started during the 1730s and closed in 1890. The shaft was sunk into the limestone through 240 feet of overlying shales and toadstone.
