Outcrops within and uphill from the powerline ROW about 100 yards south of Honey Hill Road.

Locality scouted by Jeremy Zolan on 8/24/2013. Hiller (1967) correctly describes the locality in that well formed schorl crystals are present but are not abundant. The schorls tend to have many accessory prism faces and are brittle due to heavy internal fracturing; they usually crumble when extracted. This site is more of a slightly notable occurrence than an actual collecting site. Mineralization is in simple pegmatite of quartz, plagioclase (albite), microcline, muscovite, and minor accessory schorl (2-3v/v%.)
