A Mn occurrence/prospect located in sec. 27, T6S, R5E, MDM, about 5.4 km N of Black Mountain (summit), on the ridge between 2 W-flowing forks of Beauregard Creek. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.

NOTE: The USGS MRDS database file presents file #10165034 as a related file. The locality covered by that MRDS file (https://www.mindat.org/loc-92276.html) is in Stanislaus County. Mexican prospects No. 1 & 3 (Mexican Deposits C & A of Black Wonder) are accounted for in Stanislaus County. Mexican prospect 2 (Mexican Deposit B) missing. It is possible that this locality is that missing named locality.

The ore body dips nearly vertically at a width of 1.83 meters and a length of 36.58 meters. 3 ore bodies lie along regional strike but do not appear to be in the same stratigraphic horizon. The ore is siliceous manganese oxide and black Mn oxides in white chert. Small faults offset the steeply dipping ore bodies. Local rocks include rocks of the Franciscan melange.

Analytical data results: Average grade of the ore is 25% Mn.
