A former small underground Pb-Ag-Cu mine located in the NW ¼ sec. 17, T.19S., R.25E. (Pearce 15 minute topo map), approximately 1½ miles NW of Courtland, on private land. Produced 1902. Owned/operated by the Turquoise Copper Mining & Smelting Co.
Mineralization is bedded replacement deposits of copper carbonates in steeply dipping Cambrian Abrigo Limestone. Ore control was nearby fault contact with Carboniferous limestone.
Workings are shallow openings. A few hundred tons of ore were produced in the early 1900's.
