A former surface Au-Ag placer deposit and mine area located in the NW ¼ sec. 35, T7S, R21W.

Mineralization is spotty placer gold in gulches and old channels in the pediment along the SE foot of the Laguna Mountains. This gold is derived from the gold-bearing quartz veins in Mesozoic schist.

Workings are scattered, small placer operations carried out from about the late 1850's to the 1950's. Total estimated and recorded production would be a few thousand oz. gold with minor silver.
