A former small underground Cu-Ag-Zn-Pb-Au mine located on the Daylight claim which adjoins the Narragansett claim and the York claim, in the SE ¼ sec. 24 & the NE ¼ sec. 25, T.18S., R.15E., 2 miles SE of Helvetia. The Narragansett Mine is immediately adjacent. Produced 1943-1951. Owned at times, or in part, by the Lewisohn Copper Co.; Brown; Ramsdell; Narragansett Mines Co.; Holderness; Steinfeld & Co.; Fred A. Bennett (operator); and the Wilson Mining Co.

Mineralization is copper carbonates with minor sulfides and local areas of lead and zinc minerals in irregular, pyrometasomatic replacement orebodies in intensely silicated and crushed Paleozoic limestone along folded series of thrust-faulted block segments. Alteration included pyrite-chalcopyrite-gossan.

Local structures include a folded sequence of thrust-faulted limestone block segments.

Workings include tunnels and shafts. This mine produced mainly from 1943 to 1951. It produced some 4,000 tons of ore averaging about 5% Cu, 5% Zn, 3% Pb and 1 oz. Ag/T.
