The Dun Mbuntain ophiolite in the East Branch, Eglinton River comprises an upper coherent portion described as the Livingstone Subgroup plus the related tectonic Upukerora and Ruth melanges. Conformably overlying the ophiolite to the west are the Upper Perrnian sedimentary rocks of the Maitai Group.
