Group of four abandoned quarries at Livernea (1880 m a.s.l.), on the northern slope of Punta Rascià, which exploited an ophicalcite lens belonging to the Lago Nero unit (Upper Jurassic-Cretaceous). The prevalent green rock was commercially named "Verde Alpi Cesana marble", while the less common reddish rock (whose colour is due to the presence of hematite in the serpentinite clasts) was known as "Rosso Cesana".
