A former underground Au-Ag-Cu mine located 1 mile (1.6 km) North of Pine Flat in the NW¼ sec. 22, T.12N., R.1W. (Battle Flat 7.5 minute topo map). Closed about 1908. Owned by W. Woodburn, Boone, Iowa. Produced 1906-1941.
Mineralization is a gold-quartz vein that strikes a little East of North and dipping West. Mineralization includes secondary copper minerals.
Area structures include veins parallel to foliation in Precambrian rocks or diverge from it at slight angles. The foliation trends N20E and dips steeply NW.
Workings include a 350 foot deep shaft and short drifts.
