A former underground Au-Ag-Pb-Zn-Cu mine located in Flores Wash, about ½ mile NW of the Golden Gem property. Started in 1871 and closed in the late 1870's. Reopened in 1888 and closed in 1893, ultimate closure in 1915. Owned by the Flores Mining Co. (1888-1893; and the La Anozira Mining Co. (1915).
Mineralization is a 3 foot wide vein that is hosted in granitic schist & strikes NW-ward & dips almost vertically. Croppings are chiefly iron-stained quartz & breccia. Ore occurs mainly near the hanging wall of the vein. Mineralization also includes silver sulfide, not specifically identified.
Workings include a 95 foot deep shaft (1881) plus a 200 foot long tunnel. A shaft was 300 feet deep by 1907.
