Red Mountain rhyodacite occurs at Timber Butte.

The mineralogy of the mindat locality is more common in the Chino phonolite.
From Hogeye Mesa in sec. 26 northeastward to sees. 13 and 24, T. 27 N., R. 26 E., an ocellar analcime phonolite crops out.

coordinates (36.545993,-104.144126) some 2miles SE of Pine Butte.
