A former lode Au mine located in sec. 6, T5N, R11E, MDM, about 4.5 km NW of Goat Hill, S of the confluence of Jackson Creek with Jackass Gulch, about 3 miles SW of Jackson on private land. Operated by G. W. Anderson estate. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters. May not be the right location.

Mineralization is hosted in greenstone and slate. The ore body strikes N and dips 65E at a thickness of 3.05 meters. The deposit consists of a number of ore shoots and mineralized zones occurring in dense aphanitic rock, probably a diorite or porphyrite. The hanging wall is greenstone and the footwall is slate. The ore consists of quartz impregnated with sulfides and free gold. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).

Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 83.82 meters and comprised of 3 adits at 150 feet, 300 feet and 825 feet.

Analytical data results: Estimated ore carries ¾% (??) sulfides.
