A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in the S½ sec. 3 & in the N½ sec. 10, T9N, R10E, MDM, 2.0 km (1.2 miles) NW of Logtown (site), E of Gilmore Creek and W of highway 49 (1½ miles SSW of El Dorado). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters. Both Clark (1970a) and the topo maps reflect the name of this mine simply as the "Starlight."

Mineralization is a vein deposit. The ore body strikes NW and dips 40NE. The vein is 3 feet (0.91 meter) thick. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 152.4 meters and comprised of a 500 foot vertical shaft, 2 inclined shafts, drifts and crosscuts.

Production data are found in: Clark, Wm. B. & D.W. Carlson (1956).
