A former W mine located in sec. 4, T7S, R36E, MDM, 1.3 km (0.8 mile) W of Crystal Peak summit. Operated in 1918. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

NOTE: USGS MRDS database file #10035158 presents coordinates of 118.03343W, 37.35356N. These coordinates place the locality in sec. 9 versus sec. 4. The coordinates provided in MRDS file #10159426 place it in sec. 4, as stated in both MRDS files.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in limestone. The ore body strikes NE
and dips 25SE at a width of 1.22 meters. Controls for ore emplacement included a fissure. The ore body is comprised of a series of parallel veins. Associated rocks include granite. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include surface openings comprised of open cuts and trenches.
