A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 11, T30S, R40E, MDM, about 2.0 km ESE of Government Peak and about 2.5 km SSE of Randsburg. Owned by H. Putman, Los Angeles, California. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters. Idle in 1914 due to litigation.

Mineralization is hosted in schist. The deposit is a series of narrow, parallel veins, each averaging 6 inches (15 cm) in thickness. High-grade ore occurs. Gangue includes quartz and albite. Local rocks include Precambrian rocks, undivided, unit 2 (Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 30.48 meters and comprised of a number of shafts at 20 to 100 feet deep.
