A former lode Au mine located in the N½SW¼ and in the S½NW¼ sec. 9, T9S, R21E, MDM, 3.0 km (10,000 feet) S of Quartz Mountain (1) (1.5 miles NW of the 101 Ranch). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit with a 2 foot (0.61 meter) thick vein hosted in granite. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a 90 foot shaft. Ore was occasionally treated in an arrastra.

Assay data results: Ore said to average $8/ton (period values) in Au with rich spots.
