A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 4 & in the W½ sec. 9, T17N, R11E, MDM, 2.5 km (1.6 miles) N of Omega, 2½ miles E of Washington, along the S bank of the South Yuba River at Holbrook Flat, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in rocks of the Calaveras Complex, Tightner Formation (quartzite, phyllite and Calaveras [Blue Canyon] slate). The ore body is 6.1 meters thick. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).

Workings include underground openings with a length of 213.36 meters and comprised of a tunnel and drifts.

Analytical data results: 0.25 to 0.30 ounce Au/ton from the lode.
