A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in the center of sec. 9, T17N, R11E, MDM, 2.3 km (1.5 miles) N of Omega, along the S bank of the South Yuba River, just upstream from Holbrook Flat, on National Forest land. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
Mineralization is hosted in quartzite and phyllite. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
