A Mn occurrence/prospect located in sec. 8, T14N, R8E, MDM, 2.1 km (1.3 miles) WSW of Dew Drop, NNE of the Pleasant Ridge School (500 feet S of the Pharo Ranch house). Discovered in 1943. Owned by W.H. Pharo, California (1974). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10,000 meters.

The ore body is 0.91 meter thick with a length of 9.14 meters. Low-grade manganiferous Fe ore in a 10 foot belt of massive gray chert, heavily coated with manganese oxide, and striking N20W, dipping 70NE. Two types of ore are present: 1.) Soft, punky black to brownish-black ore; and, 2.) hard, cherty black ore. The Mn in the soft ore is 11.43% and in hard ore it is 5.97%. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include surface openings comprised of a small prospect pit.

Low-grade ore. No production.
