A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in the E½NE¼SE¼ (estimated) sec. 14, T16N, R11E, MDM, 1.2 km (0.8 mile) SE of Blue Canyon (town), on private (patented) land within a National Forest area. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in slate. The ore body strikes NW and dips 77SW at a thickness of 1.83 meters. There are 3 veins of which one is 6 feet thick and carries sulfides. Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range) and/or Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
Workings include underground openings with a length of 182.88 meters and comprised of a tunnel (adit ??).
