A Fe-Mn-silica occurrence/prospect located in sec. 15, T6S, R5E, MDM, 5.3 km (3.3 miles) E of Red Mountain, N of Del Puerto Canyon (about 1 mile SE of the Lookout claim). Discovered in 1941. Owned by Larry Higuera (100.00%), Patterson, California 95363 (1975). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

The ore body strikes N45W, dips 50N at a thickness of 2 meters, a depth-to-top of 1 meter, a width of 10 meters and a length of 50 meters. The ore bodies are sedimentary-lenticular, disseminated and stockwork. The primary mode of origin was sedimentation and the secondary mode was oxidation. Primary ore control was bedding. The ore is exposed in 2 places along a N-S line 130 feet apart. It is probably about 6 feet wide, and crops out for 20 feet at the S exposure. The siliceous oxide ore strikes N and dips 65W. There is no wallrock alteration. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 3 (Coast Ranges and Western Klamath Mountains).

Analytical data results: The ore grade is about 15% Mn.

Reserves include the Look Out claim, Black Mike claim, and claim 1.
