A Mn occurrence/prospect located in sec. 20, T23N, R7W, MDM, 1.1 km (3,500 feet) S of Dead Rabbit Lake, along Bowers Creek, on the S slope of Beauty View Peak, on National Forest land. Discovered 1918. Owned by C. S. Beuner, California (1974). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a Mn occurrence. Manganese oxides occur in lenses along a quartzose dike in a belt of serpentine. The extensive croppings appear to contain a high silica percentage. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 3 (Coast Ranges and Western Klamath Mountains).
