A former lode Au mine located in sec. 6, T2N, R15E, MDM, 0.2 km (700 feet) ENE of Blewetts Point and 2.5 km (8,200 feet) NNE of Yankee Hill, just E of the Blewetts Point summit (about 3 miles NE of Columbia, on Bluett's Point). Operated in 1931 & 1946. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in schist. The ore body strikes N55E and dips 65SE at a thickness of 0.76 meter. Gold pockets occur where seams from the hanging wall cut the vein. Seams may be "rusty" black, or filled with quartz. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
