A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in the NW¼SE¼ (estimated) sec. 4, T37N, R7W, MDM, 4.3 km (2.6 miles) S of Eagle Creek Ranch and N of Scorpion Creek, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is a Au occurrence with quartz veins hosted in gabbro and rhyolite. The ore body strikes N15W and dips 70SW. Andesitic or rhyolitic dikes were observed in the adit on the SE side of the ridge are described as fine-grained, decomposed and stained with iron oxides. Local rocks include Mesozoic gabbroic rocks, unit 1 (Trinity Ophiolite).

Workings include underground openings. There are workings on both sides of the ridge between Scorpion Creek and a small, unnamed tributary. There is a 50 foot adit, a 50 foot deep winze on the vein to the NW side of the ridge. There is an adit several hundred feet long on the opposite side of the ridge. There is also an old millsite.

Analytical data results: 2 samples from winze assayed at $100 and $88 in Au (period values).
