Eosphorite from
Wycheproof granite quarry, Wycheproof, Buloke Shire, Victoria, Australia

Locality type:Quarry
Classification
Species:Eosphorite
Formula:Mn2+Al(PO4)(OH)2 · H2O
Comments:"Attractive honey-brown to pinkish brown, tapering prismatic crystals of eosphorite occur in cavities in the Wycherproof pegmatite veins. Drusy crusts of eosphorite crystals up to 0.2mm have been found in a vertical seam in the adjacent granite. In the pegmatites, the larger crystals often form sheaf-like aggregates, with individual crystals up to 1cm long. The eosphorite crystals often appear dull due to a thin coating of cyrilovite."
