About Beryl GroupHide

Formula:
(M3+,M2+)4[Be6Si12O36-z(OH)z] · (H2O)yAx, where A = mostly Na and x = likely not larger than 1
Note: some authors also include indialite in the beryl group.

Structurally and - as exemplified by April 2023 approval of a link in the form of beryllocordierite-Na and beryllosachanbińskiite-Na - related to cordierite (and indialite). This suggests a possible future merging of the two "families" of compounds.
