Hi ! I'm a mad collector of minerals, rocks, fossils and well, everything. I was that family member that would beg to stop at a quarry or to pick up a scull from the side of the road on childhood holidays.
For the last couple of years minerals and rocks have been my dominant interest and I'm very keen to learn more about them.
I'm 41 and live in the Blue mountains,NSW,Australia, about an hour west of Sydney. Like to check out old mines and quarries and fossick in the Oberon area west of the Blue mountains. Got a microscope and a camera more recently to check out tiny worlds with, and love it.I Have a lot of fun re-arranging specimens, probably too often.
There are trends developing in my collection as my interest broadens, but I have a soft spot for Calcites,Broken Hill minerals,Zeolites,Gypsums And Pyromorphites.
I really like the Mindat site and use it all the time for referencing.I hope to share more photos of my collection as my photography improves. Cheers!
