3.4 x 3.2 x 1.8 cm. A classic, old-time specimen of very colorful green-blue Chrysocolla with a rich waxy luster. This is, in fact, a double pseudomorph, having replaced three rosettes of Malachite that were themselves pseudomorphs after Azurite blades, all sitting on a gossan matrix likely rich in Goethite. The largest of the now-Chrysocolla rosettes is 1.4 cm across. Adding even more mineralogical interest, and value, are the gemmy golden microcrystals of bipyramidal Wulfenite sitting on the matrix just below the Chrysocolla. This is a fine old-time piece from the Whim Creek Copper Mine of Western Australia. Ex. Charlie Key stock.
