A former Fe mine in the Ringwood group located about 1 mile WSW of Ringwood. Started about 1835, restarted 1853 and closed before 1873. Ore is magnetite as an irregular deposit 10 to 20 feet thick. Workings were 100 feet long by 50 feet deep and 6 to 15 feet wide (1840) plus a shaft 130 feet deep (1853).
