Natural outcrops just below the Naifjoch, in an area called "Rote Wand" ('Red wall').

Coral-pink to white gypsum masses and concretions are found in the Val Gardena Sandstones. Cavities in such masses sometimes contain gypsum and quartz crystals.
Heliodor and jasper were found in the Naif creek bed.
Analcime crystals have been found in the underlying porphyritic rocks.
