Little Giant lode - No. 3 tunnel; Upper Giant Mine; Little Giant Mine
The Upper Giant prospect (also known as the No. 3 tunnel) is an adit near the east end line of the Little Giant claim, MS 1969, located on a logging road above the Atlas Mine at an elevation of 5250 feet. Adit is approximately 4'x7'x 330' long, and is located in the SW¼NE¼ of Section 2, T47N, R5E BM. It is shown as a prospect on the USGS topography map "Mullan, ID". The Upper Giant prospect is listed as number 46 on Plate #5 of USGS Professional Paper 478.
The adit is shown on the Mineral Survey Plat for the Little Giant group, MS 1969 dated August 1904. The adit follows a narrow sparsely mineralized structure in the Precambrian St. Regis Formation.
