Kaliwerk Bischofferode (Kaliwerk Thomas Müntzer)


A potash mine, started in 1914 and closed on 22 December 1993. Between 1953 and 1990, it was known as "Kaliwerk Thomas Müntzer" (Thomas Müntzer Potash Works). The sett includes shafts at Bischofferode, the main mining site, and at Neubleicherode, a few kilometers to the south.
