The Hoof mine.

This lead mine, "Odendahl et Cie." was part of the “Vieille Montagne Moresnet concession” with headquarters in the management building in Kelmis/La Calamine, the current MVM Museum Vieille Montagne.

The limited production was 826 tons and was mainly lead ore, pyromorphite.

East of the village, there were two shafts, 50 meters apart.
On-site, there are no visible traces anymore. On the basis of the testimonies of local residents, I was able to locate one shaft.

800 meters to the west lies an ancient drainage shaft which is currently used as a groundwater well by the farmers.

Note: Mélon et al. (1976) list the locality as "Hof (sic), Moresnet, Liège".
